Product Description

The butterfly is embroidered in three-dimensional technique. The description is based on my knowledge of embroidery and may differ from traditional methods. I will show you how to embroider the wings, how to work the edges and how to assemble the butterfly. If you haven't used this technique before, you may need a little practice. The pieces are very small, it requires a lot of patience and diligence. I describe the whole process step by step, explained with lots of photos.

I have added a video showing all the difficult points. The links to the video are in the pdf file. Step by step you will learn the whole process of creating a butterfly. It is more suitable for reading on a computer screen or tablet than for printing.

The right side of the butterfly is embroidered with muline. All wings move independently of each other and hold their shape well thanks to the wire frame.

The back side is decorated with delicate lace.

The brooch is very light and graceful. It gives the full impression that a real butterfly is sitting on your dress.
